Quite a collection of people over at Craig's new house this evening. I was joined by poker all-stars Keith Zielinski, Brian Walsh, JP, Rebecca, Craig, and the Sandman.

The first game was taken by Rebecca, second game is up for grabs.

Craig traded for an awesome Grateful Dead DVD from June 6th, 1992. The video was taken from the feed the audience in Buffalo saw that night. Hopefully this will be torrented soon for the masses.

I love the font Phish used for these Hoist era shows

How To Blog?

As I start to add more posts to this blog, i'm having some difficult decisions ahead of me. What audience do I cater to? Do I make the blog strictly for myself? Just a journal and a soapbox. Or do I try to make a good blog for my friends or for a more commercial audience?

I've seen tons of blogs and i'd like to think I know what would work and what would not work for a blog to be successful. I know what I would want to read but my interests are so wide and varied. Would a person who read my entries about Phish be turned off by an entry about the NYC subway system? Would I offend any potential readers of my blog by showing naked pictures from hippie goddess ?

So that is my biggest dilemma. I wish I had seven different blogs that all catered to different intrests of mine. Perhaps that's the best bet and then one blog featuring entries from all the seven blogs.

Perhaps. Anything is possible, all you need is a dollar and a dream.

Text Message Service from Google

After seeing a piece on 60 minutes about google's text messaging service I tried it and its pretty awesome.

So let's say you are near my apartment and you want to find Thai food.Text message to 46645 (or G-O-O-G-L) Have the text message say Thai 10025 (that's my zip code) I did that and within 30 seconds I got two text messages from Google with the names, addresses, and phone numbers of two good thai restaurants.

Want to find the nearest Pottery Barn to Boston?
Have the text message say Pottery Barn Boston

Want to find out Brandon Walsh's phone number?
Have the text message say B Walsh, 90210 and if Brandon lists his phone number google will send it to you.

Want to compare prices on IPODs?
Have the text message say price ipod 20gig

At Barnes and Noble and want to see how much Amazon charges for a book?
Have the text message say price and then enter the ISBN number

Want to know the definition of antagonist?
Have the text message say define antagonist

There are even more ways to use Google's text messaging service which can be found at: http://www.google.com/sms/howtouse.html#business

It would have been nice to have this service during summer tours!

Gene Michael is a hero of mine for turning that piece of garbage team into a dynasty.

The Gym In My Building

Checked out the Gym at my apartment building today for the first time in......well, too long.

It was nice to get my sweat on. Hopefully that nice use of energy should allow me to fall asleep easily. I've been having problems sleeping as of late, but hopefully I'm past that.

I've got to remember to bring music to the gym, it's really annoying reading a magazine on the treadmill I like.

How is that for a random collection of thoughts.
